NOTE: Liz Roach 2025: this shoe bottle seen in Plate 180 of Victorian Glass by Ruth Webb Lee ed1944. It is known in crystal and deep amethyst as in the photo in the Lee. A great toe is seen at the toe of the shoe. Under the screw opening the glass is ground and threaded. THe sole of the shoe is marked On the underside of the shoe is the phrase ‘Patent Apl’d For’.
