SIMPLICITY SCROLL (AKA) wsc by Westmoreland Specialty Company (Grapeville-PA, Co. Operated: 1889-1924), 1908 Introduced
• AKA: Westmoreland No. 217; Westmoreland No. 219
NOTE: Nos. 217 and 219 have both been assigned, in multiple catalogs, to two virtually identical forms in this pattern. A third, unnumbered piece in the pattern exists. We know two of the three forms are match holders which implies that it is a smoking set with one being for the matches, one for the used matches and the third, as yet un-numbered piece being a holder for cigars or cigarettes. Because of the confusion surrounding both the numbered and unnumbered pieces, the AKA will remain the name of choice until more information presents itself.
