NOTE: There are gaps in the West Virginia Glass / West Virginia Glass & Manufacturing list of patterns which is likely where this pattern fits. In 1895, West Virginia Glass were making several opalescent lines - No. 217 and No. 218 were new that year. For the fall trade, they announced No. 219 ( pressed line known as IOU) as well as a new blown line and several specialties. Then the plant shut down for several years starting back up in March 1898 as the West Virginia Glass & Manufacturing. The first pattern after the re-start was the No. 219 that got caught in the shut down. The next line that was mentioned in trade journal reports was No. 225. Missing are Nos. 220, 221, 222, 223 and 224.
