NOTE: Paula Husky 2019: ref Yalom p 48; Earlene Wheatley -Collectible Glass Shoes- p74. Wheatley references Lee -Victorian Glass, plate 199: " opaque blue slipper. 4.75L x 2.25W. Poppy decoration on sides and laced up the front and gilded. c1890". Also known in opaque white.
NOTE: Liz Roach 2019: ref Metz 2, pp214-215. "early 1890's" R 2019: ref Lee's Victorian Glassp473 and Plate 199. She describes a "slipper" "light blue opaque with a poppy decoration in relief...gilded...The same slipper may be found in milk-white with gold decoration and in amber, slightly opalescent, almost like the so-called "Caramel", of which so many were made in Indiana." A opaque shoe can be seen in a poor group photo, plate 199.
