BASKET CASTER (OMN) by Crystal Glass Company (Bridgeport-OH, Company Operated: 1888-1907), 1890
• AKA: ZZ-527
NOTE:The 1907 Price List confirms that the OMN is Basket Caster. This figural novelty starts to appear in wholesale catalogues in 1890 in line with the trade quote. Many years later, the Imperial Glass Co. made a version of this basketweave caster set – No. 428 which was introduced around 1909. Quite a few ex-Crystal folks, including Ed Muhleman, John Owens and Tom Shelly, were involved with Imperial which likely explains some of the similarities of patterns.
