JUMBO SPOONRACK (OMN) Type 2 by Canton Glass Company [First] (Canton-OH/Marion-IN, Company Operated: 1883-1899), 1884 Introduced
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge: It is documented as Canton based upon the patent for the method of making this spoon holder which was issued to David Barker and assigned to the firm.
NOTE: Leonard Farchione: spoonrack came the following year, 1884. they say it was made in hopes to stir up some interest and sales in the not so popular canton's 1883 jumbo or elephant pattern. I guess you can say it was a later addition to the pattern, may have been just a novelty item made on its own. the 1883 type-2 jumbo pattern already had spoon holder. never know for sure.
