JEWEL (OMN) king by King, Son & Company (Pittsburgh-PA, Company Operated: 1869-1891), 1876 Introduced
• AKA: King No. 117; King No. 177; King No. 94
NOTE: Here is an earlier catalogue (c1876). Several other pieces of Jewel were designated in this catalogue as No. 117 (plates and caster bottles) and No. 177 (handled nappy). It is unclear as to why King applied different numbers to various forms of Jewel in a later catalogue (c1891). Perhaps to make it easier to track inventory of old stock made up of the last remnants of the Jewel line introduced fifteen years earlier. Or possibly the new numbers were for new/modified moulds.
