POND LILY AND LEAF (AKA) by Fenton Art Glass Company (Williamstown-WV, Company Operated: 1905-2011), c1916 Introduced
NOTE: Paul Kirk Jr: color is Persian Blue and the pattern is "a variant of Fenton's Pond Lily." In Glass Collector issue five (Winter 1983), Heacock shows a 1916 Butler Brothers ad showing an assortment of black glass from Fenton. Shown are three items in the pattern in question: a two handled bon-bon, pin dish (small compote), and "6 1/2" card tray" which is the plate. Heacock states it is a variant of the Pond Lily pattern --but he does not name it "Pond Lily Variant." He notes that Margaret James called it "Pond Lily & Leaf" in her 1981 book titled Black Glass.
The pattern varies slightly from Pond Lily (an AKA) in that there is no scale border and there is a leaf between the lilies rather than a loop design." Neither author mentions this blue color
