UNION STOPPER COMPANY No. 224 (OMN)
• AKA:
• MAKER: Union Stopper Company/Morgantown-WV (Company Operated: 1905-1918), Introduced: c1908 Introduced
• NOTE: Sid Lethbridge - It appears to be a line of just large and small berry bowls worked to different shapes. In addition to the bowls, they also made a punch bowl and stand.
NOTE: Paden City Glass Company acquired the molds and in ca. 1915 offered it as their No. 197 pattern.
NOTE: Paul Kirk Jr. - The pattern is a pretty close copy of GDS&Co's "Bassettown" introduced in 1898. It's a bit odd that such a close copy would appear 10 years later.
• MOTIFS: Diamonds, Stars/Rosettes/Hobstars, Ladders/Zippers
