FLORAL WREATH ETCHING (AKA)
• AKA:
Unknown Glass Company for Etchings No. 1 (Unknown Location, Operated: Unknown), Introduced: c1880s Introduced
• NOTE: Sid Lethbridge - The Floral Wreath Etching consists of two floral sprays tied at the base with a ribbon arching surrounding an etched letter B. Presumably, other initials may appear with this etched frame. Intriguingly, the floral border includes the combination of a rose and a hibiscus flower that can be seen in Massed Flowers. For the purposes of my research the firm that did this etching has designated as U1 i.e. Unknown 1. They were very prolific and there are about 30 etchings that can be assigned to them.
