• NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2022: the first berry the catalogue designation is No. 3897 1/2 A round berry. The first three numbers are the pattern number, No. 389. Next we have the 7 which directly follows No. 389 which tells us the base form used for the various rim configurations, in this case the 7" berry. The 1/2 designation tells the buyer that this items was made with tank glass not the better quality pot glass. Finally, we have a letter designating the final configuration of the berry. The A designates the final shape of the bowl - in this case, round. C means the bowl was crimped after pressing, B means it was flared and F means it was hand worked into a shallow bowl.
